Death toll from trawler capsize in Bay rises to 21

The death toll from February 11 trawler capsize in the Bay rose to 21 as Bangladesh Coast Guard on Monday morning recovered two more bodies .   

A patrol team of the Coast Guard recovered the bodies of two elderly men from the west beach of St Martin's Island at about 9:00 am.

The bodies were, later, handed over to Teknaf Model Police Station, our local correspondent said quoting an Coast Guard official.

On February 11, a trawler, carrying Rohingya people, capsized in the Bay near St Martin's Island when it was heading towards Malaysia. 

Twenty-one bodies have, so far, been recovered till today while some 73 people were rescued alive.
