Journos play vital role in expatriates' lives

Fakhrul Islam, press wing secretary of Bangladesh embassy to Saudi Arabia, has said journalists are playing a vital role in the lives of expatriates and also in social and economic fields of Bangladesh.

"All the Bangalees around the world are came to know about the expatriates in Saudi Arabia through the journalists," he said at a get together prgramme of Bangladeshi journalists at a community centre in Riyadh on Friday.

The day was also the first day of spring and Valentine’s Day.

Mostaq Ahmed, chairman of the board of directors of Bengali Branch of Bangladesh International School, and Mosleh Uddin, founder of volunteer organisation 'Hashi', were the spoke persons of the programme orginised by Expatriate Digital Centre and Dhaka Medical Centre.

Among others, Al Amin and Ismail Hossain, secretaries of the envoy, Ziauddin Bablu and Arshad Ali, traders of Al Kharj, were present.
