A man was hacked to death allegedly by his son in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria on Friday morning.

Deceased Md Amir Hossain, 55, was a resident of Pashchimpara Mahila Madrasa area in the upazila.

Local sources said an altercation broke out between Amir and his son Md Shuvo over a trifling matter this morning.

At one stage of the quarrel, Shuvo hacked  his father with a sharp weapon, leaving him critically injured.

Amir was rushed to a local hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, our local correspondent said.
