Woman killed in Barishal road crash



A woman was killed as her scarf entangled with auto-rickshaw’s engine in Mehendiganj upazila of Barishal on Friday afternoon.

Deceased Shefali Begum, 50, was the wife of late Jamal Khan, a resident of Kajirbad area in the upazila.





Witnesses said Shefali’s scarf entangled with the engine of a three-wheeler in Dighirpar area in the afternoon when she was going to Joynagar riding on it, leaving her injured.

She was rushed to Muladi Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.

Kajirhat Police Station officer in-charge Anisur Rahman confirmed the matter.
