3 killed in Rajshahi road crashes
Three persons were killed in two separate road accidents in Mohanpur and Godagari upazilas of Rajshahi on Sunday, police said.
The deceased were identified as Sifat Hossain, 20, son of Nazmul Hossain of Shahmakhdum Police Station area in Rajshahi municipality; Khayer Ali, 50, of Keshorhat area in Mohanpur upazila; and Md Masud, 35, son of late freedom fighter Iliash Ali of Godagari upazila.
In Mohanpur, a motorcycle carrying Sifat hit a pedestrian Khayer as he lost control over the steering in Tentultala area in the morning, leaving them critically injured.
They both were rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared them dead.
The bodies were handed over to their families after autopsy, said Mohanpur Police Station officer in-charge Mostak Ahmed.
In Godagari, a truck rammed into a motorcycle on the Amnura road around 11:00am, leaving the bike rider Masud injured.
Masud was taken to Godagari Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Godagari Model Police Station officer in-charge Khairul Islam confirmed the matter.
