No sign of rape was found on the body of Stamford University student Rubaiyat Sharmin Rumpa.

Dr Sohel Madmud, head of Forensic Medicine Department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, confirmed this on Saturday.

"We got the autopsy report of biological test where we found no sign of rape on Rumpa's body," he said.

He also said they will get the rest two reports on Sunday. After getting those, they will send the full postmortem report to police.

The body of Rumpa, 22, a second-year English student of Siddheswari branch of the private university, was recovered from an alley of the area on December 5.

Police sent her body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue as an unidentified one. Later, her family members identified the body the next day.
Then, police filed a murder case with Ramna Police Station in this connection.

Claiming that Rumpa, daughter of police Inspector Rokan Uddin, was murdered, her family members and fellows demanded arrest of the perpetrators.
