Keraniganj factory fire death toll hits to 13

Twelve more workers, who received burn injuries in a fire at a plastic factory in Dhaka's Keraniganj, have died at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
With this, the death toll from Wednesday's fire rose to 13.
Fire Service and Civil Defence members recovered the charred body of worker Jakir Hossain, 22, from the debris after the fire incident on Wednesday.
Among the injured, Khaleq, Salauddin, Imran, Bablu, Rayhan (1), Sujon, Jinarul, Alam, Jahangir, Faisal, Razzak and Rayhan (2) died from Wednesday night to 11am on Thursday while undergoing treatment at the burn unit, DMCH police outpost inspector Md Bachhu Miah confirmed.
The condition of the other burn victims are critical, said the burn unit coordinator Samanto Lal Sen.
Earlier this morning, Health Minister Jahid Malek visited the fire victims at the DMCH.
Two separate probe bodies have been formed to investigate the fire incident.
A fire broke out at Prime Pack and Plastic Industries Ltd in Chunkutia area around 4:15pm on Wednesday.
On information, 10 fire fighting units rushed to the scene and put the blaze under control over an hour of frantic efforts.
