Challengers bowl first in BPL opener against Thunder

Chattogram Challengers opted to bowl first against Sylhet Thunder in the opener of the special edition of Bangladesh Premier League, the Bangabandhu BPL, on Wednesday.

The match is being played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

In the absence of Mahmudullah Riyad, Rayad Emrit is leading the Challengers in this game while Mosaddek Hossain Saikat is leading the Thunder.

The first game of the much-hyped tournament, being played in a regular working day, managed to attract only several hundred spectators at Mirpur.

Seven teams are participating in this edition of BPL. Apart from the Challengers and Thunder, the other teams are Dhaka Platoon, Cumilla Warriors, Rajshahi Royals, Khulna Tigers and Rangpur Rangers.
