Appellate Division's judicial work begins under CCTV cameras

The Appellate Division started the trial proceedings under closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras on Wednesday which were installed on Tuesday.

Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain began the judicial work in the courtroom under the CCTVs for the first time.

Eight cameras have been set up in the courtroom on Tuesday night to detect persons who will try to create unpleasant  incident inside it.

The Supreme Court administration took the decision following the pro-BNP lawyers' unprecedented chaos in the courtroom on December 5 over BNP chief Khaleda Zia's bail hearing.
