Trader shot in Ashulia over establishing supremacy

A man was shot by his rival on Sunday night over establishing supremacy in Ashulia of Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka.

Bullet-injured Md Riaz, 40, is the resident of the area. He is a trader at transport and raw materials’ warehouse in Ashulia.

Witness Firoz said hearing a cry for help in the area around 10:30pm, he rushed to the spot and found bullet-injured Riaz there.

He took Riaz to Savar Enam Medical College Hospital where he is now undergoing treatment at the ICU of the hospital.

Ashulia Police Station officer in-charge (Investigation) Zabed Masud said Riaz was shot in his abdomen following a dispute over establishing supremacy in the warehouse.
