Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Iqbal Mahmud has said the corrupted people who accumulated wealth illegally can not enjoy it happily.
The ACC chairman came up with the remark after inaugurating daylong programme on Monday marking the International Anti-Corruption Day.
Bangladesh is observing the day with a slogan "We are united against the corruption".
"It's not an warning, just a news for the corrupted people. The wealth which they earned illegally, is not really for his own. It is public's wealth. You can't enjoy the wealth in peace whether in country or in abroad," Iqbal Mahmud said.
He also said, "Corruption is not only a problem for Bangladesh. It is a global problem. Any organisations, governments or tribes can't solve the problem alone. The corruption can be removed, if people from all walks of life are fully cordial."
