Two buses catch fire in city


Two buses including a BRTC double-decker caught fire in capital Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.

Fire Service and Civil Defenc sources said a bus of Trust Service Limited caught fire suddenly in Karwan Bazar area around 3pm when it was heading towards Shahbagh.

On the other hand, the BRTC bus caught fire in front of Kurmitola General Hospital at about 3:50 pm.

There was no casualty in the two fire incidents.

Earlier in the morning, a fire broke out at Petrobangla Bhaban in city's Karwan Bazar.

The fire originated in Sylhet Gas Fields Ltd office on the 13th floor  of the building at about 9:30am.

seven fire fighting units doused the flame at about 10:10am.





The reason behind the fire could not be known yet, said Fire Service's deputy director (Dhaka) Debashish Bardhan.
