Sazzad Hossain Rony has retained his own position in Brand Marketing for a long time & three times win the Best Brand Award by BBF in confectionery & sugar. Currently he has been serving as Senior Manager Brand and Category Head of Meghna Group of Industries & responsible for fresh tea, no1 condensed milk, fresh refined sugar, and upcoming noodles, snacks, & confectionery category. Recently he shared his successful story to Fahim Mesbah for The Daily Observer.

The story of growing up: Although Mymensingh is my hometown, I was born at Pahartali, Chattogram. As my father was a government service holder, I've travelled in various districts and spent my School life in different schools. In my childhood I spent more time in playing, gossiping, touring with friends & to be honest, my tendency towards studying was a little lower. I passed my SSC from Mymensingh Zilla School and HSC from Mymensingh Cantonment Public School and College.
The way I started my career
Like other parents, my father always wanted me to be a doctor or an engineer. But sadly speaking, Science was never my kind of thing. It didn't suit me at all. I wanted to study Business Studies and take a job in accounting profession. Luck didn't favour me and because of my poor SSC and HSC results I couldn't get chance in any public university. However, I always dreamed of working in accounting profession. But suddenly I felt something within myself and asked, "Is what I am doing the right thing to do? What do I really want?" I was looking for answers to all those questions. Finally, it seems that, I love changes and I migrated to Marketing. In 2010, I received a circular while I was in BBA's last trimester; I applied to EMS International Private Limited HDA for the post of Sales and Marketing Executive. Luckily, I got the job and the salary was TK 7,000 only.
The way my career took a turn in Branding
In the first six months of my job at EMS International, I saw only sales. Suddenly, I got the responsibility of marketing section too. Later in the year of 2012, I was employed at "Kallol Group of Companies" as MT Brand. I had the privilege of working with many renowned brands in my life. Also I had the opportunity to work in various national and international companies like Emami Bangladesh, Pran-RFL group etc.
My suggestions for Brand beginners
My advice to the young generation is that you should set your goals first. Don't be influenced by others while you set your goals. In the words of the movie "Three Idiots", "Build your career in which you have talents." Do start your journey where you can utilize your talents. You have to be focused on your work and most importantly, you must have dedication. No matter how small the work is, always show respect. Always remember, "If you respect your work, work will also honour you."
Future planning
I do have many plans. But time will say how much I can implement. A growing number of talented, bright students are moving abroad due to lack of opportunities. As a result, this country is losing potential. And there are a large number of students who find themselves in depression for not having proper guidelines. I dream of working with them to build a beautiful country. I want to remind them that quote:

�Never give up.
Today is hard, tomorrow will be worse,
But the day after tomorrow will be sunshine.�
