Bangladesh move semifinal in mixed doubles

Bangladesh badminton team comprising Salman Khan and Urmy Akter pair moved semifinal of the mixed doubles event of ongoing South Asian Games Badminton beating their Nepalese rivals Nobin Shreshtha and Nanjal Tamang pair by 21-13 , 21-17 points in the quarterfinal held on Wednesday at Badminton Covered Hall in Pokhara.
In the women's doubles quarterfinal event, Elina Sultana and Shapla Akter pair of Bangladesh lost to India by 21-12, 21-14 points.
In the men's singles quarterfinal, Sibagat Ullah lost to Ratnajit Tamang by 221-13, 21-9 points while int he women's singles event, Elina lost to Dilmi Das of Sri Lanka by 21-8, 21-10 points.     -BSS
