Minor girl raped by old man

MADARIPUR, Dec 4: A nine-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an old man in Kalkini Upazila of the district on Monday afternoon.
Police said accused Malek Sarder, 60, of Dakkhin Gopalpur Village lured the victim to give her apple, took her to his house in the afternoon and then violated her.
The accused fled the house after the incident came to light.
Victim's family lodged a written complaint with Kalkini Police Station in this connection, said its Officer-in-Charge Md Basir Uddin Mridha.
