Turkey coast guard commandant visits Bangladesh
Turkey Coast Guard Commandant Rear Admiral Ahmet Kendir arrived on a four days official visit in Bangladesh on December 3.
He along with 4 delegations team was given a warm reception at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by Deputy Director General Bangladesh Coast Guard Commodore M Shahjahan, (N), NPP, ndc, psc, BN on arrival, according to a press release.
On 4th December, he paid homage by laying wreath to the potrait of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi in the capital.
Later he come to Coast Guard Headquarters and was presented with guard of honour. He attended at a bilateral meeting with Director General Bangladesh Coast Guard Rear Admiral M Ashraful Haq, NUP, ndc, afwc, psc.
They discussed about training and improvement of mutual cooperation during the meeting to develop both countries professional skills. Besides, He will also attend in meeting with Home Minister and Chief of Naval Staff. Wife of Commandant Turkey Coast Guard will also have meetings with Begum Farzana Kabir, President Bangladesh Coast Guard Family Welfare Association (CGFWA) and President Bangladesh Navy Family Welfare Association (BNFWA).
During the visit The Turkish delegation team will visit various historical sites National Martyrs' Memorial, Savar Garments Industry, Sonargaon Folk and Crafts Museum and Panam Nagar.
