2 held with Yaba in Cox's Bazar

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in separate drives have detained two people along with Yaba tablets in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar.

Detainees are Abdul Majid, 39, and Asma Begum, 23.

On information, a BGB team conducted a drive in Majid's house in Purbo Satghoria area at early hours on Monday and detained him.

The BGB members also recovered 40,000 Yaba tablets wrapped in a polythene behind the house, said Lt Col Mohammad Faisal Hasan Khan, commanding officer of BGB Battalion-2, in a press briefing held at the battalion quarter in the afternoon.

Earlier on Sunday night, a BGB patrol team detained Asma from Moulvibazar area and recovered 3950 Yaba tablets from her belly, said Lt Col Faisal.
