![]() Probe body formed over Munshiganj road crash A seven-member probe body was formed on Friday over the fatal road crash in Shreenagar upazila of Munshiganj that left nine people dead. Earlier this afternoon, a bus of ‘Swadhin Paribahan’ collided with a microbus at Shologhar bus stand, leaving six dead on the spot and six injured. Among the injured, three died later. The deceased were identified as: Abdur Rashid Bepari, 70, Liza, 24, her daughter Tabassum, 6, Ranu, 12, her son Tahsin, 4, Keramat Bepari, 70, Mofizul Mollah, 65, Runa Akter, 24, and microbus driver Billal, 40. Hasara Highway Police Outpost in-charge Md Abdul Baset said the accident took place after the bus driver lost control over steering and his vehicle collided with the microbus. Tragedy struck down the microbus passengers when they were going to Dhaka to attend a wedding ceremony. Families of the victims will get Tk 20,000 assistance from the district administration. GY/SU |
