‘Drug trader’ killed in city ‘gunfight’

An alleged drug trader was killed in a 'shootout' with members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at Hazaribagh in the capital on Wednesday.
Sheikh Nazmul Arefin, company commander of RAB-2, said the 'gunfight' took place in front of Sikder Medical College in the early hours of Wednesday,
The deceased was identified as Nadim Bahadur, 38. He was a resident of Hazaribagh area. Nadim was implicated in nine drug-related cases, RAB said.
RAB was conducting a search at a check point set up in front of Sikder Medical College when a motorcycle approached the spot at 4:15am, said Sheikh Nazmul.
