Vilifying Holy Quran
Sefuda’s property attachment ordered
Dhaka Cyber Tribunal ordered for property attachment against Sefat Ullah alias 'Sefuda,' a Bangladeshi expatriate in Austria, in a case filed over vilifying the Quran on social media.
Judge Ash Shams Joglul Hossain of Cyber Tribunal passed the order on Tuesday as the Public Prosecutor Nazrul Islam Shamim prayed to the court.
The complainant Adv Alim Al Razi Jibon of Dhaka Bar filed the case on April 23 accusing Sefat Ullah for his derogatory remarks on holy Quran.
Jibon also accused him of using obscene words for Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the Facebook and YouTube videos uploaded by Sefat Ullah.
Later, the tribunal asked the police Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit to file a report on May 15 after probing the case.
