Another Rly probe body holds Turna  Nishita drivers,  guard responsible

CHATTOGRAM Nov 19: Another investigation committee, formed by Bangladesh Railway (BR) on Brahmanbaria train accident, submitted its report on Tuesday.
The four-member committee headed by Chief Operating Superintendent (East) Nazmul Islam submitted its report to Director General (DG) MD Shamsuzzaman of Bangladesh Railway in the morning.
In the report, the committee held Thurna Nishita Express driver Taseruddin, assistant driver Apu Dey, and guard Abdur Rahman responsible for the accident.
"Both the drivers were asleep during the accident that took place at Mandabag in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria" the committee said, adding that guard Abdur Rahman neglected his duty.
Earlier, another departmental investigation committee of Bangladesh Railway made such allegations against the driver, assistant driver and guard of Turna Nishta Express.
The Railways Ministry had formed another four-member probe committee led by Additional Secretary Rafiqul Islam. Report of the committee is yet to be submitted. The ministry also asked the railway inspector to probe the incident and submit a report.
Moreover, Brahman-baria district administration formed a probe body, led by Additional District
    Magistrate Mitu Mariyam, and asked it to submit a report within three working days. The committee is yet to submit its even after seven days
Dhaka-bound Turna Nishita Express from Chattogram collided with Chattogram-bound Udayan Express from Sylhet at Mandobagh in Brahmanbaria's Kasba on November 12, leaving 16 people dead on the spot and injuring 70 others. Of the injured, two succumbed to their injuries in Dhaka and Sylhet two days ago.
The rest of the injured are undergoing treatment at Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital, Cumilla Medical College Hospital, Dhaka Medical College Hospital and National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (Pongu Hospital).  
Immediately after the accident, the railway authorities filed an unnatural death case, accusing unnamed people. Mandabag Railway Station Master Zaker Hossain Chowdhury filed the case with Akhaura Railway Police Station.
