National University vows zero tolerance to corruption  : Prof Harun-or-Rashid


Vice-Chancellor of National University Prof Dr Harun-or-Rashid said, "Corruption is spreading across the society like cancer. That is the burning concern for us. National University authorities have the full support for the stern position taken by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina against corruption. National University vows zero tolerance to corruption."
The Vice-Chancellor addressed at the closing ceremony of the 8th batch teacher training programme of the CEDP at the main campus of the National University in Gazipur yesterday.
Referring to the strict stand against corruption, Vice-Chancellor said, "National University will not tolerate any corruption. Strict disciplinary action will be taken if there is found any evidence of corruption related to anyone. I urge those concerned to cooperate in the highest punishment against corrupt people by providing them with information and evidence, if they have specific allegations against anyone without any anonymous correspondence or infringement. And if they try to disrupt the management and development of the university by making false allegations anonymously or in different ways, then punitive action will be taken against them."
Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Anwar Hossain, acting dean of the Center for Postgraduate Education, Training and Research, chaired the event where Md Mashiur Rahman, Course Advisor, Prof Syed Azizul Haque, Prof Shantanu Majumdar and Prof Selim Bhuiyan along with others were present. After the programme, Vice-Chancellor handed over the certificates to 120 teachers who participated in the 8th batch of teacher training in Bangla, Political Science and Management subject under the CDP.
