Bangladesh in semifinal in junior World Cup Kabaddi

Bangladesh junior kabaddi team moved to the semifinal of the 1st Junior World Cup Kabaddi Championship (boys) beating Thailand by 62-37 points in the quarterfinal match held on Thursday at national stadium of Kish Island in Iran.
The Bangladesh Kabaddi team will play in the first semifinal scheduled to be held tomorrow (Friday) morning but their opponent is yet to be decided till the filing of this report.
Earlier, Bangladesh made an auspicious start as they beat their Afghanistan rivals by 84-11 points in the opening match and beat Chinese Taipei by 48-36 points in their second.
The junior World Cup Kabaddi will conclude on November 15 with the finals slated to take place at the national stadium of Kish Island.
Backed by the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF), the tournament is featured Under-20 players from
thirteen participating nations in a bid to increase the interest in youngsters in these countries to take up the sport and represent their country in the future Kabaddi tournaments.     -BSS
