4 Bangladeshis among 162 jailed in Malaysia
A Malaysian court has jailed 162 women, including four Bangladeshis, for on charge of flesh trading in the country.
Judge Haridasham Mohammad Yasin handed down the verdict on Wednesday.
Of the convicts, 152 are Thai citizens, four Bangladeshis and the rests are from Korea and Laos.
According to the court sources, on August 3, Malaysian police conducted drives in three night clubs alan Klang Lama in the country around 11.30pm (local time) and detained 162 women.
Some 35/40 Bangladeshi women, detained on occasions, are now in several safe homes.GY/LY
Police are interrogating them to know about the names of traffickers.
