Coach wishes for one point from Oman match
Bangladesh national football team is going to engage with Oman in the Preliminary Joint Qualification Round-2 for FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 on Thursday. Before that, head coach James Day said that he would be happy to collect a single point from the match.
The boys had increase the expectation of the fans with good fight against Qatar and 1-1 draw against India recently. Now, they are going to face one of the powerful opponents Oman in the home venue of the opponent.
Head coach James Day said, "I will be glad to collect one point against Oman although a draw would not be so easy here. We are going to play a tough match. But, if my boys can play up to their capability, there is a scope of good results. Anything can happen in football."
The English coach wanted to inspire the boys recalling the results and performances of the last two matches against Qatar and India. He said, "If the boys can continue the performances of the previous matches in the match against Oman, they may do well against the Oman boys as well.
James knew about the Oman strikers who scored six in last three matches and warned the defenders about them. He agreed that they would need to put emphasis on the defence department against Oman boys.
In spite of this, Bangladesh is more concerned about its forward. The strikers spoiled a few good opportunities to exploit in Kolkata against India few days back.
