Street urchin's body found in sack

Police recovered the body of a street urchin from  an abandoned plastic bag in Paltan area of Dhaka on Sunday night, a day after he went missing from Gulistan area.

The deceased was identified as Sunny, 6, son o Sagar Sheikh and Jhorna Begum.

Anwar Hossain, assistant sub-inspector of Paltan Police Station, said the body was recovered from in front of the Olympic Building in Gulistan area around 9:45pm and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.

Quoting Sunny’s parents, Anwar said he went missing around 10:00pm on Saturday.





Police suspect the boy might have strangulated to death as injury marks were found in his neck and hand.
