Training workshop for Bangladesh female journalists on investigative reporting held
A three-day long training workshop for the members of Bangladesh female Journalists Association named Bangladesh Nari Sangbadik Samity (BANASAS) on investigating reporting was held at Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) in the capital from November 5 to November 7.
Farida Yasmin, Secretary General of Press Club, was present as a special guest at the closing of the training on November 7.
Zafar Wazed, Director General of PIB, presided over the ending ceremony.
Daily Ittefaq Editor Tasmima Hossain inaugurated the training workshop on November 5. Thirty five members of Bangladesh Nari Sangbadik Samity (BANASAS) took part in the workshop.
Dr Shamim Reza, a professor of Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of Dhaka University, conducted the first session on the first day.
The second session was conducted by Mahfuz Mishu, Special correspondent of Jamuna Television.
Ruhul Amin Rusd, Senior News Editor of Banglavision, conducted the first session on day two while Julfikar Ali Manik, planning consultant of Bashakhi Television, supervised the other session.
Palash Datta, Md Abual Hossain, Former Additional secretary of Information Ministry, took a session on day three which was followed by the session of Jafar Wazed, Director General PIB.
BANASAS president Nasima Soma, general secretary Anjuman Ara Artist, Vice-President Karnina Khandaker, Training and Research Secretary Labin Rahman, were present on the occasion. PIB instructor Parvin Sultana Rabbi was the coordinated of the event.
