Bhola district administration has taken all-out preparations to tackle cyclone "Bulbul".

Bhola Disaster Management Committee in an emergency meeting at the Deputy Commissioner's Office in the afternoon informed that 668 shelter centres and eight control rooms have been opened while 92 medical teams and 13,000 volunteers were kept ready to tackle the situation,

Deputy Commissioner Masud Alam informed journalists after the meeting.

Adequate relief materials are preserved for the people in the area, he said.

District Cyclone Preparedness Programme (CPP) deputy director Md Sahabuddin said employees of CPP and Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) are currently asking people to take shelter in the shelter centres.

Warning signal number four has been issued in the area, Sahabuddin added.
