JS session begins today

The fifth session of the 11th Parliament (Jatiya Sangsad) begins at 4:15pm today.
President M Abdul Hamid summoned the session exercising the power bestowed upon him as per Clause (1) of Article 72 of the Constitution.
According to the parliamentary procedure, the advisory committee of parliament will hold a meeting with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair before beginning of the session. The committee will fix the duration and businesses of the session.
The fourth session of the Parliament was prorogued on September 12 after four working days. One out of five bills was passed in the House.
