Oikyafront leaders meet Home boss to seek permission to meet Khaleda

Leaders of Jatiya Oikyafront led by JSD President ASM Abdur Rob and BNP Standing Committee Member Iqbal Hassan Mahmud Tuku on Monday met Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal at his Secretariat office to seek permission to meet BNP Chairperson Khaleda at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Medical University.
At the meeting, the Home Minister gave his consent to allow the Oikyafront leaders to meet the convicted BNP Chief Khaleda Zia at the BSMMU where she was undertaking treatment. After the meeting with the minister, JSD Chief Rob told reporters that they had sought permission to allow Gano Forum and Oikyafront Chief Dr Kamal Hossain to visit BNP chairperson.
He gave his consent to allow the senior jurist.
"However, the date of Dr Kamal's meeting with Khaleda Zia was not finalized. The date will be finalized later," he added.
Regarding permission for holding Oikyafront rally at Suhrawardy Uddyan on October 22, he said that they were yet to got the permission.
"It's our constitutional rights to get permission to hold rally. We, however, haven't got the permission. We will take further decision in this regard later after discussing among the Oikyafront leaders," the JSD President said.
