College boy hacked dead in Jashore
Police recovered the body of a college boy from the embankment of the Bhairab river in kotwali upazila of Jashore on Monday afternoon.
Deceased Sohanur Rahman Sohag, 18, was a twelfth grader at Hamidpur Al Hera College, and son of Habibur Rahman Habib of Mollapara Amtala area in the upazila.
Deceased's father Habib alleged that Jitu Rakib, of the same village, along with 3-4 men called Sohanur out of the house on Sunday night. Since then, he was missing the whole night.
Later, locals spotted the body in the embankment of the Bhairab river in Mollapara area this afternoon and informed police.
Being informed, police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to a hospital morgue, said kotwali Police Station (OC) Moniruzzaman.
Police suspect he might have been hacked to death by some miscreants and then the body was dumped here, the OC added.
