RU admission starts today
Rajshahi University (RU) Undergraduate admission test-2019 started from today. This year's exam will be conducted in both the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and written procedures. The university authority has already completed all preparations, including necessary measures to prevent fraud and misconduct.
Prof Prabhas Kumar Karmakar, Administrator of the University Public Relations, read a written statement at the press conference on Saturday. Later, Vice-Chancellor Prof M Abdus Sobhan answered journalists' questions.
Among others, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof Anand Kumar Saha, Chowdhury Md Zakaria, Treasurer Prof Mostafizur Rahman Al-Arif, Deans and teachers of various faculties were present at the event.
Prof Prabhas Kumar said, "There are 31,129 applicants in A unit, 15,732 in the B unit and 31,229 finalists in the C unit against 4713 seats in the three units.
The duration of each test is 1 hours 45 minutes. First 50 minutes of MCQ. The next 15 minutes for collecting MCQ answer sheet and providing written SAQ test question and the last 40 minutes for written SAQ test.
RU authority has been taken some measures as night accommodations for female parents of admission candidates at the university's gymnasium on the west side of the university. At the same time, the student teachers' center of Shaheed Sukhranjan Samaddar will be open for women guardians and Kazi Nazrul Islam auditorium for both men and women during the examination.
It is also directed that no help desk or stall be placed under the banner of any student body, district association within the university. With the help of candidates, the authority is providing arrangements for 16 help desks at various places of the campus.
