Missing schoolgirl found dead in Kurigram

KURIGRAM, Oct 20: A schoolgirl who went missing while going to her school in Roumari upazila on Wednesday was found dead on Saturday.
Police recovered the body of Jemi Akhter, 13, a Class-VIII student of Pakhiura High School and daughter of Shah Alam Pramanik of Uttar Khauria village in the upazila, from a Kashaban at Uttar Khaunia Sukherchar in the afternoon.
Police and locals said Jemi came out of their house on Wednesday morning for her school but went missing.
A general diary was lodged with Roumari Police Station in this regard.
Locals spotted the body in the Kashban on Saturday afternoon and informed police.
Officer-in-charge of Roumari Police Station Abu M Dilwar Hasan Inam said they were investigating the incident.
