Moaz, Shamim sent to jail
Accused Moaz Abu Huraira and Shamim Billah in BUET student Abrar Fahad's murder case were sent jail by a Dhaka court.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Debdas Chandra Adhikary passed the order on Saturday.
DB Inspector Md Wahiduzzaman and also the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case produced the duo after a five-day remand.
On October 13, another Dhaka court placed the two on a five-days remand each, in the murder case.
Moaz, a student of 17th batch of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department (EEE) of BUET, was detained from Sector 14 of Uttara on October 12 morning by a team of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
He is the son of Mashrur-uz-Zaman and hails from Pirpur village of Osmanpur thana under Kuliarchar upazila in Kishoreganj.
DMP Detective Branch arrested Shamim, for his alleged involvement in Abrar's murder, from his village home in Isakur village, under Bhurulia union in Shyamnagar upazila in Satkhira on October 11.
The 21-year-old is a naval architecture and marine engineering student at Bangladesh University of Engineering Technology (BUET).
Abrar Fahad, of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, was beaten to death inside the university's Sher-e-Bangla Hall in the early hours of October 7.
