Nine-foot python rescued


A nine-foot-long python was rescued from a tree in Belkuchi upazila of Sirajganj on Saturday afternoon.

A boy named Sabbir saw the python in a tree in Alamgir Akanda's house in Kandapara Charnabipur village and informed the others. 

Later, activists of The Bird Safety House, an environmental organization, rescued the python and then, handed over it to the district forest office.

Confirming the matter, Sirajganj acting forest officer Rishikesh Chnadra Roy said the python will be freed at Sirajganj Bangabandhu Eco Park.
