Man found dead in Kurigram


Police recovered the body of a man from a field in Nageshwari upazila of Kurigram on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Rezaul Karim Raja, 35, son of Abul Hossain of Holokhana Sanyasi village in the upazila.

Family members said Raja went out of home on Thursday afternoon towards his maternal uncle home in Phulbari upazila but did not return.

Locals spotted the body in a field in Balatari area under Nageshwari municipality around 8:00 am and informed police.

Later, police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to Kurigram Sadar Hospital morgue, said Nageshwari Police Station officer in-charge Rawshan Kabir.

Police have not yet ascertained whether it was an act of suicide or an accident, the police official added.
