Man’s hanging body recovered from Curzon Hall

Police recovered the hanging body of a man from Curzon Hall of Dhaka University (DU) on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Salim Hawlader, 50, hailed from Mirzapur upazila of Patuakhali.

Police said Salim was found hanging with a white scarf from a grill of a window at the ground floor of the Faculty of Chemistry this morning.

Shahbag Police Station sub-inspector Jahirul Islam said being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.

The cause of the death will be known after getting the autopsy report.

Salim used to lead a vagabond life, the SI said.
