BUET BCL president's room sealed

The authorities of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has sealed three rooms, including of the university unit Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) president, of two dormitories, amid the protests over its student Fahad murder.
The step was taken soon after the university on Saturday published a notification of banning organizational politics on BUET campus.
Of the sealed rooms, two are at Ahsan Ullah Hall and one of Sher-e-Bangla Hall.
BUET Director of Students' Welfare (DSW) Mizanur Rahman said three rooms have been sealed, and the students, who have no allotments in the halls but stay, have been asked to vacate the dormitories.
Authorities said 121 no. room of Ahsan Ullah Room, BUET unit BCL president Jami-us-Sani's 321 no. room, and the unit BCL general secretary and Fahad murder case's accused Mehedi Hasan Russel's 3012 room have been sealed. These rooms used for political purpose.
Other rooms of the dormitories used by Chhatra League will also be closed within Sunday, the authorities said.
Abrar Fahad, 21, a second year student of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), was found dead at his dormitory Sher-e-Bangla Hall early hours of October 7.
The dormitory students alleged that Fahad was beaten to death by the university unit Chhatra League men at one stage of questioning him on suspicion of Shibir activist following his facebook post over recent several deals with India.
