Alauddin Ali flown to Bangkok for treatment


Celebrated music director Alauddin Ali was flown recently to Bangkok for better treatment. The great musician has been suffering from pneumonia, lung infection and cancer along with other age-related health problems.
Earlier, Alauddin Ali went to Bangkok for treatment in 2015 where he was diagnosed with cancer. However, the doctors decided not to remove the tumour in his lung as it was very close to the heart and gave him chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Alauddin Ali (born 24 December 1952) is a noted music composer. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Director five times for the films Golapi Ekhon Traine (1978), Sundori (1979), Koshai (1980), Jogajog (1988) and Lakhe Ekta (1990). He won the Best Music Composer and Best Lyrics awards for the films Laal Doriya (2002) and Premik (1985) respectively. He has directed music for more than 300 films.




He bagged Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Director five times for the films Golapi Ekhon Traine (1978), Sundori (1979), Koshai (1980), Jogajog (1988) and Lakhe Ekta (1990).
