Fake PMO official held

The members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have detained a man, who introduced himself as deputy director at Prime Minister's Office, from Gazipur.
Detained Illam Shahriar, 37, is a resident of Baridhara DOHS area in capital Dhaka.
Shahriar was detained from Shimultali area in Gazipur city on Tuesday evening, said Abdullah Al Mamun, commanding officer at Gazipur's Porabari Camp under RAB-1, confirmed the matter.
Later, Gazipur deputy commissioner's executive magistrate Zannatul Ferdous sentenced him to three months' rigorous imprisonment.
The RAB official said Shahriar has been introduced himself as deputy director of IT section of PMO. Besides, he has been possessed PMO's monogram, and walkie-talkie, SSF's uniform and cap.
The man used different stickers of OMO in his used car.
Through these fraudulent deeds, the man embezzled crores of taka from people, including government officials/employees, quoting Shahrial, the RAB official said.
The elite force also filed a regular case against the convict on charge of cheating.
