Scrapping decision of deducting 10pc salary demanded

Bangladesh Non-Government Teachers' and Employees' Forum has demanded cancellation of the decision to deduct 10 percent of their monthly salaries for pension board and welfare trust.

The organization made the demand to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from a press conference held in Gazipur city on Saturday morning.

Bangladesh Non-Government Teachers' and Employees' Forum central committee's joint secretary general and Gazipur district unit convener vice-principal Delwar Hossain Aziz addressed the programme.

Earlier, the government decided to take 10 percent from basic salary since last January for for pension facility board and welfare trust of teachers and employee under MPO.

Previously, the amount reserved for pension board and welfare trust was six percent of the total salary. But after the newly issued order, it has been increased to 10 percent.
