Jealousy: Inseparable phantom
Dr X invented a revolutionary device which can read mind. With tameless thirst for reading people's mind, like the X-men movie, he stepped out of his lab holding the device in one hand. He started to feel like Charles Xavier. "At last I literally can do telepathic things", he felt mischievous. Suddenly he found some people on the terrace and started to proceed.
"She's so beautiful and disgustingly smart!!! Oh man, I can't tolerate her. Her presence suffocates me. If some how she turns ugly that'll be the best day of my life". "He is getting successful so quickly!! What's the reason behind?? I must know that anyhow. I can't stand him. I wish I could see him servile". "Her husband is so rich!! May be he is a corrupted person. Of course he is. And he is an imposter too. The way he looks at me, full of vile intentions. Oh! I hate this couple". "His wife is the Aphrodite of this planet. How could he manage to marry such a goddess like woman? May be she is not that pure as she looks". Dr X wished he had never invented this device. He felt terrible.
Thus is real life. Jealousy and hatred are so common for this eternity that sometimes we can't even detect these. Who doesn't know that these aren't good practices? But in reality we can't simply resist. Our thoughts are contaminated with envy and it always keeps alive our voracity for watching other's hard times. It may sound ironic but people enjoy other's failures more than anything. Some may not agree with this. It is not because they are simply arrogant. It is more like; they can't admit all of their flaws. Envy is occulted deep down with our instincts. That's why it is inseparable. But the prophets (PBUT) were exceptions as they were not like the average people.
Human nature sometimes becomes very selfish and jealous. Although some of us try to overcome these hindering dispositions but we can mere touch the line. No matter how hard we try to remove this dark cloud, it keeps gathering around.
In this cognitive world, man has been running to fulfil his needs. These needs have become increased gradually with the newly added dimensions in every sphere of life. This has exponentially increased man's cravings for achieving everything. When one notices another's success which he also desired for but never got, that time he simply can't help himself from jealousy. It flows in us as the blood flows in our veins.
If it were possible to look back on the compendium of everyone's life, then it would show how much animosity, antagonism, rancour are piling up and harvesting our unheard cries and unseen thirst. These are like incurable deadly diseases. Can not be seen, can not be touched but its existence burns a person from inside-out.
Remember the first crime at the beginning of creation. It was nothing but jealousy. And from that time, jealousy has been practiced with or without the help of conscience. Even the babies feel jealous when they see another baby has more things than they got.
Comparing and thinking of other's business can't give peace, tranquillity, happiness but pile of jealousy. It isn't worth these precious gifts. Is it?
