Visiting Sri Lanka to experiment "few changes" in the final XI
Sri Lankan team, now touring Pakistan, might be hoping a new pitch on Wednesday will bring luck for them in the 3rd and final ODI to be played at the National Stadium in Karachi.
"The final ODI before we proceed to Lahore for the three T-20Is will be played on a different pitch. I saw them (the curators) preparing the different pitch and it was being covered under the supervision of the umpires", a well-placed source close to the Sri Lankan team management told to the Reporter on Tuesday afternoon.
The first ODI between the two countries was abandoned (heavy rain) and the second ODI, which was rescheduled due to wet outfield) was lost by the Sri Lankan team.
The visiting players did not opt for a practice on Tuesday.
"The players came at the hotel at around 1.00 am from the ground.  They are very tired. One day rest is not enough", a member of the support staff added.
The final eleven will be decided by the tourists after watching the pitch in the morning. "There are bound to be few changes definitely. Will give a chance to other players as we have no ODIs for next few months", a source explained.

Sports minister interviewed
Sri Lankan sports minister Harin Fernando was interviewed by a TV commentator Harin Fernando.
The question pertaining to Test matches between Sri Lanka and Pakistan be played in Pakistan was "ducked" by the minister.
"He did not give a straight affirmative answer for the simple reason. If the senior players are reluctant to travel here and if we play with a new set of Test players,  our ranking in the World Test Championship will be affected", a gentleman close to the minister, said.
