Making plaintiff from family in Zahidul murder case demanded
MUNSHIGANJ, Sept 30: Family members of youth Zahidul Islam, who was found dead in Srinagar Upazila of the district on September 25, have demanded making plaintiff from themselves in the case filed over his murder.
They made the demand at a press conference held at Srinagar Press Club Premises on Saturday afternoon.
On September 25, police recovered the body of Md Zahidul Islam, 19, from a bush in Baghra area after he went missing on September 20.
After his missing, a general diary was lodged with Srinagar Police Station (PS) in this connection on September 22.
At the press conference, victim's elder brother Md Rubel SHeikh said he went to Srinagar PS to file case accusing 13 people including Mesbah Uddin Khan Magnet, 32, of East Baghra but police suggested him to lodge the case excluding the name of Magnet.
As he refused to omit Magnet's name, PS Sub-Inspector (SI) and Baghra Police Outpost In-Charge Md Abul Kalam being plaintiff filed the case, Rubel alleged.
He claimed that Nurul Haque, 27, Shawkat, 22, and Sumon, 26, of East Baghra called Zahidul out of home, citing Magnet. Since then Zahid went missing. His brother was found dead after five days, Rubel added.
