Ctg ‘Juba League’ leader held with arms

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 23: The Members of the elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a self-proclaimed Jubo League leader with firearms and ammunition from Shulokbohor area of the city on Sundsay night.
The arrestee was identified as Nur Mustafa Tinu, a self-proclaimed Jubo League leader of Chawkbazar area of the
port city.
The RAB raided his house and the office after his arrest and recovered illegal shotgun and 67 bullets.
Assistant Director (Media) ASP Mahmudul Hasan of Rab-7 said after arresting Tinu with a pistol, RAB conducted drives at his house and office and recovered the arms and ammunitions.
Titu was handed over to Panchlaish police on Monday morning.
Meanwhile, Titu is a wanted accused in multiple cases of extortion, violence and looting.
Tinu claimed himself as a leader of Juba League. But formally his name was not enlisted as a Juba League activist.
Tinu is known as a supporter of a former Minister of Chattogram.
Police said that he was involved with extortion in the Chawkbazar area of the city.
He also dominated tow government colleges of the city, named Chattogram College and Haji Muhammad Mohsin College.
Panchlaish police sources said, they have been registering a case against nur Mustafa Tinu under arms, explosive, extortion and violence acts.
