U-23 Cricket: Bangladesh concede 49-run defeat against India

Bangladesh U-23 Cricket team conceded a 49-run defeat against India U-23 Cricket team under D/L method in their 3rd match of the five-match one-day series at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow of India on Monday.
Sent into bat first in the day’s rain-hit match, hosts India scored 114 without any loss in 22 overs with Yashasvi Jaiswal smashing 53 runs off 63 balls and Aryan Juyal adding 51 runs off 69 balls.
In reply, touring Bangladesh team were dismissed for 124 runs in 21.4 overs.
Wicketkeeper cum batsman Mahidul Islam Ankon scored the team’s highest 50 runs off 38 balls, Ariful Haque added 23 off 21 and Sumon Khan hit 11 runs off 9 balls.
A Sheth bagged 3 wickets for 11 runs while Arshdeep Singh and Hrithik Shokeen bagged two wickets each conceding 36 and 21 runs respectively.
Bangladesh will play their 4th and 5th matches on September 25, 27 at the same venue.
Earlier, the Saif Hassan-led Bangladeshi team started their campaign with a 34-run defeat against India on last Friday but they bounced back in the series beating the hosts by 5 runs under D/L method in the 2nd match on Saturday at the same venue.
