Police cordon off 'militant den' in N'ganj; 3 held

Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit of police cordoned off a house in Fatullah of Narayanganj since early Monday, suspecting it a militant den.

Fatullah Model Police station OC Md Aslam Hossain said members of CTTC and district police cordoned off a tin-shed house of Jaynal Abedin in Tokker Math area since early hours.

They detained three people from the house during the drive.

They are Fariduddin Rumi, 27, lecturer of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, his brother Jamaluddin Rafiq, 23, lecturer of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology sons of Jaynal, and Fariduddin's wife Jannatul Foara Anu, 27, a staff of Agrani Bank.

High officials of CTTC and a bomb disposal unit are also present on the spot.

A bomb disposal unit reached the scene around 11am and started searching the bombs inside the house.
