Bangladesh, India engage today
Bangladesh under-18 boys' national football team will meet India rival today (Monday) at 3:15pm (Bangladesh Standard Time) in the SAFF Under-18 Championship at the Halchowk APF Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The boys in red and green outfits had a sweet memory of beating the India boys by 4-3 margin in the same event in September last year.
In the group stage, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka had played one match while India will begin the event with today's match.
Currently, Bangladesh is leading the point table with three points. Earlier on Saturday, the Junior Tigers had a flying start in the event with a 3-0 win over Sri Lanka in the opening match.
After today's match, India and Sri Lanka will engage in the last match of the group on Wednesday.
The Group-A rivals are Nepal, Bhutan and the Maldives. There, Bhutan is leading the point table with three points while the Maldives and Nepal are at the second and third place with each of their one point.
The two toppers of each group will play the semi-finals. The semi-finals will be played on 27th September, Friday. The final will be played at 29th September.
Earlier, a 30-member Bangladesh under-18 national football contingent went to Nepal on Wednesday to play the age-level event.
