Nasima new NHRC chief

The government on Sunday appointed former senior secretary Nasima Begum as the chairman of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of Bangladesh.
Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry today issued a gazette notification in this regard.
Former senior secretary Nasima Begum was appointed chairman of NHRC while former secretary Dr Kamal Uddin Ahmed full-time member of the commission, said a press release of NHRC.
Five appointed honorary members are senior advocate of Supreme Court Toufiqa Aftab, Rangamati Hill District Council former chairman Chingkiu Roaja, former senior district and session judge Jesmin Ara Begum, former district and session judge Mizanur Rahman Khan and former secretary Nomita Halder.
