Students of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU) continued their protest for the second consecutive day on Friday demanding resignation of the Vice Chancellor Professor Khondoker Md Nasiruddin.
The students started demonstration and protest rally in front of the VC’s office on Thursday morning.
In the afternoon, they declared fast-unto-death unless the VC resigns.
On Friday, they continued their agitation programme.
The authorities recently suspended Fatema Tuz Zinia, a second-year student of the law department and a campus journalist, that led to the protest. However, the university authorities have withdrawn her suspension following the protest.
The protesters brought allegation of bribery, corruption, irregularities, woman scandal and suspension of students against the vice-chancellor.
The students threatened to continue their movement till the VC's resignation.
